10 Steps To Starting a Legally Sexy Business in 2016
Failing to plan, is planning to fail.
And if you are finally planning to start your business in 2016 (go for it!) you have a basic business plan in place, or at least I hope so.
You’ve got your marketing plan laid out, and your financial plan and even a social media plan…I hate to break it to you but you’ll need one more plan to build your startup on strong foundations:
A Legal Plan
The infographic below will show you the 10 things you need to include in your legal plan for 2016.
But before I leave you to it, let me tell you why this small and easy to cover part of your planning is vital for your startup’s success:
One word: cash.
Unfortunately, legal stuff (meaning lawyers, registrations, fees, licenses, etc.) costs money. That’s great for me because otherwise I guess I’d starve to death or live of charity of happy clients but it isn’t so great for a startup. When you start a business you have a lot of enthusiasm and very little money. Failing to budget for all the expenses you’ll have means that you’ll be either sunk in debt or legal trouble by the end of the first quarter.
Having a legal plan as a part of your business plan will give you the certainty that you won’t have financially crippling surprise bills or court days because of avoiding the fees you have to pay as a business.
So without more convincing, open a Google search page, a new Word document and the infographic below, and get planning for a legally sexy startup in 2016!
