UF technology is fundamentally identical to RO technology; the only difference is that RO can stop extremely small particles, whereas UF filters somewhat larger particles. Since UF doesn’t really remove compounds found in water, it is only capable of preventing and removing germs such as bacteria and viruses in areas where chemical pollution is low.It is critical to understand that UF does not operate with hard water. Because UF does not eliminate the soluble minerals found in hard water, the water remains hard both before and after filtration.

4. Water Filter with Activated Carbon: Activated carbon is a kind of carbon (produced from coal, coconut husks, nut shells, and wood) that has been broken down into small bits. Activated carbon is typically generated from charcoal. Most insecticides and toxic substances found in water are removed by activated charcoal. Activated charcoal removes contaminants from water that cause it to taste and smell foul. The most efficient way to remove chlorine from water is with activated carbon. The “Adsorption” feature of activated carbon is utilised to filter water. During the adsorption process, whatever compounds and metals are present in the water adhere to the surface of the activated carbon. When water flows through the Activated Carbon, chemicals such as chlorine and other insecticides adhere to it, and cleansed water is sent to the bottom storage tank.

5. Sediment Filter: This is a pre-filter, which means it is used in conjunction with other water filters such as RO and UV. Sediment is the stuff that accumulates at the bottom of a body of water or fluid. Sediment might be rusty flakes from metal pipes, gravel, or mud particles, and it eliminates water turbidity. Sediment filters, in essence, capture undesired dust and dirt particles in water. Sediment filter right before any other freshwater purifier’s water entry.
