Introduction:
Nestle, a Swiss company established in 1866 by confectioner Henri Nestle, is the world’s largest multinational food and beverage processor. Its headquarters is in Vevey, Vaud, Switzerland, and its top executives are Chairman Paul Bulcke, CEO Ulf Mark Schneider, and CFO David McDaniel. The company has a vast global presence, with 447 factories in 189 countries and a workforce of approximately 339,000 employees.

What the Brand offers ?
Nestle has an extensive collection of over 2,000 brands that cater to various markets. The company offers a variety of beverages like coffee, bottled water, milkshakes, and other drinks. They also provide breakfast cereals, food for infants, nutritional supplements, seasonings, soups, sauces, frozen and refrigerated foods, and pet food. Nestle entered the plant-based food market in 2019 with Garden Gourmet and Sweet Earth brands' Incredible and Awesome Burgers. In 2020, Nestle further diversified its plant-based food range by introducing new products, including soy-based bratwurst and chorizo-like sausages.

Achievements :
The company has obtained ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications for its environmental and occupational health and safety management systems. Nestlé was awarded the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2010, which recognized their accomplishments in leadership, customer and market focus, strategic planning, process management, measurement, analysis, knowledge management, and workforce development.
Furthermore, in March of the following year, the company made additional advancements., Nestlé achieved a significant milestone by fulfilling the criteria of the FTSE4Good Index, making it the first company specializing in infant formula to do so. In recognition of its dedication to environmental sustainability, Nestlé was awarded the 27th World Environment Center (WEC) Gold Medal in May 2011. In March 2015, Nestlé secured the second position in the Behind the Brands scorecard by Oxfam, which evaluates the top ten consumer food and beverage companies globally based on their efforts to enhance food security and sustainability. Nestle achieved the top position in land rights and performed better than its competitors in terms of transparency and water. Additionally, Nestle has collaborations with several companies including Cereal Partners worldwide, Beverage partners worldwide, Froneri with PAI partners, Colgate Palmolive, Snow brand milk products, and Dairy partner America Brasil.
Nestle in the US has disclosed its investment in Ganado, a solar venture run and built by Enel North America in Jackson County, Texas. The project covers an area of more than 600 hectares, equivalent to around 850 football fields, and Nestle’s investment will result in the addition of 208 MW of solar power to the American power network. This investment is in line with Nestle’s ongoing commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions across its operations.
Aside from investing directly in the project, Nestlé will acquire all of the renewable electricity credits generated by the project’s energy output, which is expected to be an average of 333,000 megawatt hours annually for 15 years. Nestlé intends to utilize this renewable energy to support the energy needs of numerous facilities located in the United States.
