Zugspitze — Top of Germany

If you love mountains, there is no way you have not heard about the Garmisch-Partenkirchen aka Ga-Pa situated in the Bavarian Alps. In this blog, we will share with you a perfect 2 days itinerary where you can explore the best of Ga-Pa which was our journey too :)

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is made up of two small towns Garmisch (in the west) and Partenkirchen (in the east) situated in the south of Germany. These two beautiful towns are separated by the Partnach River. It is indeed the best place for a mountain lover where you are all surrounded by them.

How to reach Garmisch — Partenkirchen ?

There are multiple ways to reach Ga-Pa. Depending upon where you are coming from, please choose the best for your route.

By Flight: The nearest airport to Ga-Pa is Innsbruck (INN) 58Kms and Munich Airport (MUC) 124km. Both are good options but there will be more trains to reach Ga-Pa directly from Munich central station. You will find direct trains from Munich central station every hour.

By Train: Bahnhof Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the central station. This station has good connectivity from all parts of Germany. This is the best way to travel as the train journey is very scenic and you will go through the mountain ranges and never-ending farm fields…
