This is a poorly thought out article that does not respect the value of time. Marketers need to focus on delivering reach (read How Brands Grow). Mindlessly spending hours on these “hacks” is going to lead to frustration and not support your business objectives. Focusing on a minor audience that might be “engaged” does not generate sales, drive intent or consideration and fundamentally wont sell a product / service.
Every advertiser in the world spends money on creative content and combines it with media dollars to reach their audience. Avoiding paying for media is a hugely wasted strategy (exception is celebrities or a handful of publisher brands).
