I am young and people won’t listen

I had this fear running in the back of my mind from a long time that if I start a blog or a YouTube channel, people wont listen to me because I am too young. This restricted me to do so many things.

I haven’t achieved any thing in my life. So why will people care if I start writing. Who will even have a look at my articles.

Later, I realised that everyone have to start from zero. When people start blogging or making videos on YouTube, they have to start from zero. No one has a jump start with 10 articles when they start publishing.

So I started blogging in [Medium](medium.com/@aravindballa). As expected I wasn’t getting any views. No one read my articles. I had zero followers until 3 posts. I continued posting. I had gained 30 followers by the end of that month.

Yes, people were looking at my things.

But then, I thought, people are looking, but are they getting anything from it, do they like it? I was discouraged and the same old fear came again.

Sharing learnings

I replied to a mail Sean sent asking for the problem I am facing when it comes to writing. I told him my fear. His reply was something which was amazing.

A good place to start would be to share what you’re learning as you go! I’m sure a lot of people would be interested in following along.

He was so true. Why wouldn’t people be interested in things which I learn along my way. I find my friends being interested in things I tell them about what I learnt. So why wont other people. The thing I want to accomplish by writing is sharing the things I have learn’t.

So not afraid any more.

I love to share the things I have learnt along my way. That is what this blog is all about.

Thank you Sean

Finally, I want to thank Sean McCabe for taking time to reply to that email and inspiring me to do what I love for over an year. You’re great Sean. Check him out for inspiration and ideas on how to accomplishing great things.
