Two kinds of Smart People
I am fortunate to work with a lot of smart people across various company functions. And smart people love to solve problems, big or small!
This leads to a split between types of these smart solvers:
- the ones who solve the problem when it actually arises
- the ones who anticipate in advance and solve beforehand
Both the approaches work fine. As long as you take care of one imp. aspect … i.e. … Prioritize. SmartGuy1 maybe right for version 0.1 of your product, but SmartGuy2 could be perfect for version 1.0
Time * Work done = Value created
Getting the right stuff done at the right time is of utmost value.
