Why Blogging benefits your business

Blogging is a brilliant way for your website to organically attract visitors by exchanging information and experience to promote product or services.

Each blog post is another page indexed, helping you reach a wider audience. Contributing to good SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) which again potentially widens your audience pool. A single post left on its own will just smolder. Adding more fuel to help the flames grow means regularly updating your blog and adding new entries.

Posting on a semi-regular basis will enhance your blogs traffic as your audience will anticipate your entries. This can seem a daunting task at first but the results might persuade you otherwise.

Imagine each post takes you 30–60 minutes write and 10 minutes to add a tasteful image and publish. After the first day your post gets 60 readers and another 40 the next day. If just 10% of the readers click your call to action then that’s 10 potential leads for the equivalent of an hour’s work. If you are not already convinced, picture a post you published a month ago gaining a few more views or being shared by a publication; there’s a whole new wave of views and leads. This is often called passive advertising.

For everyone one reader there are multiple friends and family who could be forwarded your blog, then sharing it with their friends and so on. This is the basis of exponential growth (growth whose rate becomes ever more rapid in proportion to the growing total number or size.).

So get blogging!
