Technology and the death of civilisation
José Picardo

It’s interesting. I saw this come up and immediately my memory flashed on a photoshop of this scene.

Instead of “The Night Watch”, the picture of Vigo the Carpathian from Ghostbusters 2 has been shopped in.

The true synchronicity, however, is that when this article arrived in my email, I was listening to Charlie Stross’ book “The Atrocity Archive”, part of which takes place in a secured lower level of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, which, in the story, contained the collected mystical effluvia of the Thule Society and the Ahnenerbe SS. In this gruesome but well-written story, the magic of the Thule Society actually worked, and came THIS CLOSE to winning the war for the Third Reich, their own mystical equivalent of the Manhattan Project.

I was reading that section of the book, which takes place in the Rijksmuseum, when this article came up…and my mind flashed on Vigo the Carpathian.

Synchronicity, synchronicity…
