‘Work and life balance’ BULLSHIT
I heard a lot over these years about how people try to fix their work and life balance. Some of the methods I heard were by having fixed work schedule, sleeping for eight hours and the rest …having fun :))
Mostly what has surprised me, were some people who work hard for their standing and trying to be charm and respectful in society . They believe that by separating work from their life is the biggest triumph that you can do. In fact, there is no such thing. The majority prove their worth by keeping busy. A busy life and having ‘a purpose in life’ is the secret to a long life.
‘Having something to do’ feeling has always followed me over these years. This feeling gets me fired up; my mind is switched on and this mood has always landed me into something good. Having a purpose in life, living by milestones has always encouraged me to transform my dreams into goals and goals into actions.
I am not saying that we should work all the time for the entire life. Myself, I love just to sit around and do nothing. I get some of my best views and solutions when I’m bored. I have seen that boring attitude has been helping me since forever. I used to play Football in my room by myself, listening music, watching movies etc. But it is so important to know for WHAT WE ARE BUSY ABOUT?
It is not enough to be busy. So are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about? — Henry David Thoreau
I have seen a lot of folks who are not happy with their ‘dream’ job. Kind of persons who think Monday is boring and thank god for Friday (TGIF). Who count work hours and are not focused and motivated in their job at all. I have realize that employees work hard enough just not to be fired and employers pay just enough so that employees won’t quit.
People who talk about oh this is how I balance my life and work, they’re just not dedicated to winning and having successful carrier. Ignore the ‘work and life balance’ BULLSHIT. Hard work pays, especially at the start and by start I mean years not days, not months.
Having a startup and choosing work-life balance is not a good movement and that’s sort of just the sad reality. Every executive wants to have devoted staffs that are frugal and their commitment is crucial for company development. So if you want as a founder or executive person to have a company culture where people work hard and are focused in their job, you have to do it yourself.
Stay busy but….
