We have discussed this topic in our development team. For a long time, we decided to only use English in code. But we are creating an application in the (Dutch) health sector. In this sector some of the terms are very specific for the Dutch health sector. When translating those terms to English, the meaning sometimes becomes unclear.

So we decided to use a combination of English and Dutch. For example: DagplanningRepository. If we would translate this to English, we get someting like DailyScheduleRepository, which has a different meaning.

Also by using the Dutch terms, we are speaking the same ‘language’ as our stakeholders and customers.

It’s indeed a bit ugly, but (in our case) easier to understand and prevents usage of Dunglish ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunglish)
