Hi everyone!

It’s been a while since Cali’s release in May but I wanted to show off some new things I’ve been doing, things coming soon, and brand new ideas that I think is going to make things a lot better.

Lets get started by talking about improvements in design, since I started I’ve always wanted to improve how my apps stand out, instead of the basic flat look that modern apps have I want mine to feel natural, fluent and a nice change.

I spent this summer in my design app looking back and fourth into what makes a great design, making sure that everything looks perfectly is a part of making a great product, you wouldn’t want to use a product if it looks bad. So I carred on.

Starting with depth. That was the main thing that I was focusing on, in a world where everything is flat, make things stand out. I first started this with a new card view, where I added shadows to stand out and have that three dimentional look, then into other projects and finally into Cali and Future Projects.

Here’s what’s new

Notilify

I’ve improved designs and made the app a lot snappier, and now with more App Clips coming soon, it’ll be a lot easier to get a Calculation done without having to even download the app!

And to my fellow Android/PC users, the time has come. The impossible, became possible, the unthinkable, finally coming to your systems. Yeah, Notilify is coming to PC and Android. But it’s not just those devices, ANY device with an internet connection can now use Notilify.

My plan for Notilify in the future is to be built into the places you use it the most online, and with having a web version of the app, you can use it in the most convenient place, your browser.

Pill Pal

This is huge, a giant leap forward is coming to Pill Pal early next year. Starting with a brand new redesign from the ground up, containing Live Activities, SwiftData, Widgets, and more!

Pill Pal has always been about being simple which is why I’m keeping the simplicity, while making more and more progress to the people who need it.

This version of Pill Pal also includes new Gestures making it even easier to use

Cali

Cali was my latest release on the App Store last Spring, and ever since then I’ve been focused on Live Activites, Predictive Text, and Effects.

In this day in age, a notification for when your event is due isn’t exactly the most effective, mostly when you have notifications from other apps, its very easy to just ignore notifications by more that don’t really matter, so starting with Cali, you’ll now be able to Pin an event by holding it and tapping Pin Event. This will display on the Dynamic Island on iPhone 14 Pro and Beyond and for every phone in your lock screen. When I was testing this I found out that I was ignoring the event a lot less, it was also really nice to Swipe it Done when you are Done.

Predictive text is now in your events too so when you made an event with where you need to go somewhere, the option to make a location charm automatically pops up, same with packages, links, and effects (get to that in the next paragraph).

Lets be honest, Calendars are boring and maybe you want something fun from time to time, like a little celebration when it’s someone’s birthday, or when you’re about to graduate, and beyond! Now with Cali it’ll put an effect on those events when it happens (for example if you event is “My birthday”, you’d get confetti on that day, or “Graduation!” would appear with Flying Caps!). Confetti will also be added as a Charm so if there’s something super important, you can tap and watch confetti burst!

Introducing Cali Pages

Cali is perfect for events that might take an afternoon, but truth is, plenty of adventures are more than just one event, with one charm, its a whole bunch of events, with plenty of planning and colaboration. Which is where Cali Pages comes in.

Let’s start with the first thing, every event is it’s own file, that means you can share with anyone via Messages, AirDrop and more and they can edit the same file that you’re editing (Don’t worry! You can also send a copy if you don’t want edits on your copy)

Next up you’ll notice that it is seperated into Cards, these cards can contain Charms, like the ones you’ll be able to find in Cali, and Shared Events, which you can use to mark off a Task List, Check up where everyone is at, and more!

Finally, customize your page to make it present the trip, add links to where people can find playlists, photos, and other media.

Introducing Cali Schoolwork

Cali is getting smarter, but the main idea was how quickly it was to see what you have to do next, which brings us to the next venture to make the world better. We’re going for the classroom.

As a student, you probably have a lot on your plate, and with deadlines, it might be hard to know what to get started on right now, and what you can do later. Which is why Cali Schoolwork was made.

Cali Schoolwork does the hard work of remembering everything for you, like lecutres up next, assignments due soon, and other tasks to be done. Everything in the palm of your hand.

It will also support Live Activites and will get Lock Screen and Home Screen Widgets.

All of these announcements will be hosted on arielaraya.xyz and prettycoolwebsite.com, Notilify Web comes out today, and Cali will get it’s first major update before the end of September. Cali Pages will get its proper announcement along with Cali Schoolwork and Pill Pal getting an announcement before the Spring Season.

Thank you
