It is a fairly common-held belief that if someone has “crazy eyes,” worries about people following her, and sometimes has emotional outbursts, then that person is psychotic or schizophrenic. A person who is seen drinking at a bar, alone, in the middle of the day is an alcoholic. A person distracted by a noise outside has ADD. Someone who is sad after the death of a loved one is said to be depressed.
