Healthy Apple Bake

Hello everyone! If you are anything like me I’m sure you have a major sweet tooth, and eating just a bowl of fruit doesn’t always cut it. I thought that I would go ahead and share one of my favorite desserts to make. Now this is something that you can make it what you want, I don’t have exact measurements I follow with each ingredient, I just add to taste.

So first things first you are going to need to start by preheating the oven to 450 degrees, then you will need the following:

  • 1 whole apple
  • coconut oil (or olive oil)
  • brown sugar
  • cinnamon
  • oats

First you’ll want to slice the apples as you like. Next you will lay them on a cooking sheet (I layered mine, but they cook more evenly if you spread them out). Then you will lightly drizzle the coconut oil over the slices. Next is all up to you! You can sprinkle as much or as little oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon as you want. However, do keep in mind that you’re trying to eat healthier and less sugar so don’t go too heavy on the brown sugar. After you have the apples all covered to your liking you’ll pop them in the oven for about 20 minutes or so and let them cool off! For an extra treat add a scoop of vanilla Halo Top ice cream or a frozen yogurt.

It’s ok to indulge in a treat every once in a while, and live your Con{FIT}dent you while you do it! :)
