Little Labs is excited to announce the release of Facer 3.0, the latest iteration of its leading watch face customization platform for all major smartwatch models.
This major update to the platform introduces support for a number of new devices, new exciting features for smartwatch owners, and new advanced editing tools for watch face designers. Without further ado, let’s dive in!
Support for Samsung Gear S2/S3 and Tizen based smartwatches
Already the largest watch face platform with almost 1M installs, 15k watch faces, 6k designers, and millions of daily watch face interactions, Facer is now extending its distribution network to millions of new users by adding support for Tizen powered smartwatches.
The lucky owners of the new Samsung Gear S3 will also benefit from the watch’s new “always-on” mode with all Facer faces out of the box. This technology is a game-changer for the smartwatch industry and allows us to display watch faces in full color and fully animated 24/7 on the users’ wrists. Watch faces on the Samsung Gear S3 are now an integral part of the wearer’s outfit and fashion style.
Thanks to Facer’s cross-platform technology, Gear users will immediately have access to the thousands of faces created by the largest community of watch face designers in the smartwatch industry.
Support for all new Android Wear watches: Nixon The Mission, Polar, Michael Kors, Asus Zenwatch 3, and more!
In addition to supporting the new Tizen-based smartwatches, Facer 3.0 adds support for all recently released Android Wear devices. Owners of the Nixon Mission, Polar M600, Michael Kors, Asus Zenwatch 3, and Moto 360 Sport will now be able to access Facer and all its content and have a seamless experience throughout the platform.
Color Matcher: match your watch to your style!
Facer 3.0 introduces Color Matcher, a new magical feature allowing you to customize any themeable watch face to match the color of your outfit. How does it work? Simple, just pick any of your favorite themeable watch face, tap Customize, snap a picture of your current outfit and your watch will be automatically updated with a matching color. Welcome to the world of digital fashion!
Facer Creator updates + macOS client
The Facer Creator, already the most advanced watch face design tool available today, is receiving a major update in Facer 3.0.
In addition to getting a significant face-lift and rebranding, the Facer Creator 3.0 now supports all three major smartwatch platforms: Android Wear, Tizen, and Apple Watch. With just a few clicks, you’ll be able to deploy your designs on the wrists of hundreds of thousands of users and join what is now the largest community of watch face designers in the world. To support your efforts, this new release also includes improved community features and a brand new documentation with tutorials and recipes for the most common watch components you’ll want to include in your designs.
Last but not least, we are excited to release the Facer Creator into the macOS App Store today! This standalone version of the design tool includes advanced features like TimeMachine manipulation via touchpad gestures, and integration with Apple’s all new TouchBar.
