“Unlock the Secrets of Longevity:

Discover the Power of Blue Zones

By: Arif Gilany

In North America, the loneliness epidemic has increased, but happy, healthy traditions like Ikigai — a sense of purpose practiced in Japan — are making a comeback.

A mind engaged in healthy thinking is followed by health, prosperity, and a sense of purpose. You need an internal reason to wake up in the morning. A sense of purpose makes core decisions easier, and the rest follows.

Recently, a study concluded that people in nursing homes live 15 years less than Blue Zone residents. The sense of adventure with purpose seems to be missing from many people today. Finding friends committed to connecting and sharing rituals and experiences together is a common theme among Blue Zone people.

In Okinawa, Japan, there is an 80% higher rate of living to 100 years than anywhere else in the world. They believe laughter brings longevity and have fun to be happy! In Barbacha, Sardinia, Italy, people live longer than anywhere else on the planet by a wide margin. They have a different diet but share rituals, a sense of belonging, and commitment to community activities. Their daily diet consists of fruits, veggies, and nuts.

In Loma Linda, USA, a city of 7-day Adventists, people enjoy the same type of vitality, longevity, and sense of purpose. Volunteering is a huge part of the culture, and staying dormant or unproductive is nowhere to be seen. They do good for people and have so much to give!

These “Blue Zones” are areas where 80% of the population lives longer than ordinary people. Wearing natural fibers like Camel Care socks, which help increase circulation to the feet, staying active in all seasons, healthy eating habits, a sense of community and purpose, and positive thinking habits are common among Blue Zone people worldwide.
