In this context, it’s clear he’s not talking about the Republican electorate, but rather, the elected Republican officials who, yes, ALL claim to be “pro-life” and even of the few who do not try to actively sponsor and push through anti-choice laws, they most certainly do NOT sponsor any pro-choice bills. You are correct that this didn’t used to be the case regarding elected Republicans, but with the Tea Party having taken over during the Obama administration and pulling the GOP far-right, that is not the case now. So yes, as he stated, that is the EXACT OPPOSITE of Hillary Clinton.
