Why I Stepped Down As Creative Director Of The Crème
Liz Lazzara

I can only describe what Liz has encountered in her leaving the publication as outright abuse. Whether she lives with a mental illness or not, it’s abuse and shameful. I live with severe combat-related PTSD and one of my coping mechanisms is to avoid toxic people and situations. When those toxic people and situations pervade your professional space and impair your ability to function due to the inherent nature of their toxicity, then it is tragic. I refuse to allow the actions of a few people to cut me off from enjoying the gifts of a remarkably creative person. And so, Liz, I will seek out your work wherever it appears and continue to enjoy the enlightenment I receive from you.
