letters — publications — stories — huh?

A good explanation on the different classes of posts. What medium still lacks is a way to reach the publications so that each publication generates readership. It seems to pass the buck to the writer to find the audience. It is quite depressing to see no one read your post, or no one commented, or even looked at it. It is not necessarily the fault of the author. The medium needs to find a better way to build engaged audience.

Just beautiful formats an diversifying publications won’t be sufficient. For example I can vouch that this comment will hardly be read and commented by anyone (perhaps even the author of the original post won’t care to read and comment). This is turning out to be the problem of Medium. Too many speakers who do not pay attention to their own writing.
