¿My problem?
I’m 19 years old. By the time, I’ve heard and lived enough to say I’m no longer a boy. Society made me an adult. In someway, I feel like the same kid.
I’ve never been a hateful person, actually I’m very sympathetic and a grateful person. But the truth is, I feel like an uncompleted human. I don’t know if it is okay, but problems that are not even directly related with me, make me suffer a lot. As a white person, I can honestly say I’m not a racist. Actually, I rather have black friends than white ones. They are sadly realest people because of their living conditions. I would be an idiot if I didn’t accept that racism is not dead, and it will never probably do.
That’s us, the human race. Competing against each other regardless the feelings or the problems of others. The humans, the only animals that step on the same rock twice and shame on you if you step even for the third time or more(which I have seen). If not, history books can confirm you the argument. We are condemned to repeat our history which is failure. I’m not even talking about a particular individual, society or country. I’m talking as we, the people on Planet Earth.
That’s the true, we are so bad people that we are looking to the next step of living: Mars. Really? Do you think of an Utopian society with the same shitty ideals we have nowadays? We will mess it up, in Earth, in Mars or in the Moon. That’s us, humanity. Stop joking on social media about faith in humanity restored… Faith in humanity is not restored and I’m sad to be the first one saying it.
Global Warming? Global WARNING started since I was in elementary, and I’m in college now. The difference? Really, the only difference I’ve seen is how to create professionals on covering the environmental problems. We are a shitty race, that we have extended our egocentrism to the extinction of other animal races and I wonder when will that appetite will stop. If you can’t respect a tree as your own life, you don’t know the real meaning of life.
I’m not saying we should stop literally killing animals, or using them for our own benefit. As other animals, we do our job in food chain. But we have abused of that. Being “us” the thinking animals… Why have we done all the stupid things in history we’ve done? All the bad decisions, that started nowhere else but in our minds. Am I a good person?
Good question. I confess, as everyone I’ve done bad things in my life. Do I regret of any of them? Well, nobody is perfect. I just have decided to learn from them and make them part of my personal change. I think you cannot change something if you cannot start changing yourself. This change, that came from a personal decision a month ago, has been physically good for me but psychologically not so. How so?
Well, I actually feel good with my new-self. The thing is, my new-self is no longer comfortable with things that they were in front of me but I didn’t say anything because I was part of those bad decisions. I decided to dedicate even more myself to school, sports and healthy living. Yes, it does feel good, I totally recommend it. So what's the problem?
That’s the problem. Viewing things from the good living way, makes you see all the bad habits of people. I’m not mad with other people, but I have experienced madness from other people when I tried to help them do something good in their lives. Like if I expect them to pay me or something, some of them have even insulted me when I politely recommend them some changes in their lives. Yes, nobody wants to change because we live in a society that “everything is alright and everyone is right”. Let me tell you something:
I know very few people that literally they don’t have a problem. Well, they do, but not an issue that makes me the worry kind issue. We all have problems, that’s the first step. You should work on them for the good of society. Let me tell you, I’ve heard thousands of personal problems and I love to help people work them out. But no all of us think the same. Actually, let me tell you an universal truth. No one cares in fact about your problems. You should distinguish that. Naturally, I’ve been blessed with some people that actually do care about me, and I care about them. But there are so many others that I actually care or now cared about them that do not give a shit about me. Does that makes me feel bad?
The answer is no. Society will never accept you, I can tell you that. Never look acceptance from them because they don’t want good for you, that’s the sad true. Instead of that, I recommend to look at least for respect and some basic values in order to have some relations. That’s the thing, we need from each other, but out there we got plenty of people that think that we don’t. Well, let me tell you another thing you shitty person. Society is not only you, your family, your friends and people directly surrounding you.
There are other people that are offended indirectly everyday because of your daily acts. Innocent people have to pay for the crimes of guilty people. Working people have to clean up the shit of lazy people. Intellectual people have to listen to all the ignorance, and believe me, this hurts. Am I an ignorant person? Well, maybe… But at least I’m doing something to change it. The best part of it, I’m not only doing this for me, I do this for the people around me that do care about me, and my future children. With 19 and all the freshness out there, I’m sick and tired as a grandfather. Is this sad? Well, believe me when I say I’m not going to cut my veins because of it. It works like this: I received the right motivation long time ago in the right moment, and now I’m more of a motivating person. I love to see people succeed, but at the same time I hate all the envy the people generate for the few good ones.
Stop looking at your neighbor's house, and start doing something for your own. When you think you are in a position to do it, then look at your neighbor’s, but not to criticize, but to recognize and if it’s the case… Help.
Because we all, with no exceptions, need help from someone. That’s how things should work, with a sinergy and not with wars or oppression. I’m religious and heterosexual, but I respect atheists and gays as much as I do to my own person. I really don’t care about you much, unless you do one thing. This thing is called actually caring about other people.
Doesn’t matter in what country I live on and where I am from. Problems are problems here and in the other part of the world. The problem is not literally having the problems; we all have them. The problem is how we solve them.
How do we solve a problem? Well, in order to solve it I made a list of helpful tips. There is no order to be followed or every point should be done, as all I do in my life, I do it to give advice. Here we go.
- Leave your personal issues on a side for instance.
- Leave your personal interests on one side.
- Analyze and listen carefully, best technique to understand.
- Don’t act before it is time. Be patient.
- Remember there is always a solution, you just have to figure out one.
- Do not affect others in order to solve them. This won’t solve them, it will make them worse.
- If you can’t solve them let them cool down for a while. There is always proper time and place to solve them.
- Do not let the problems affect others if they are your problems.
- If it’s a collective problem, don’t talk too fast. Everyone has something to say, and as a good leader you should be able to conclude something that looks for common benefit.
- Last and most important. Do not expect. Even if your are expecting a thank you letter, don’t. If you are going to do it, my recommendation is that you do it for yourself.
Believe me when I say, there is no limit for success. The only limit is ourselves and thinking we cannot achieve it. As individuals, we should be able to apply all values that already have been written on thousand of books. Yes, they teached us in a wrong way since day one. As kids, they ask us to order I don’t know for example: The top 10 values for you and the order of importance to you.
Well, fuck you. You shouldn’t classify them like that and pick only 10 of them. They are all important and you should consider all of them in your life. That’s what humanity lacks of: Consideration.
As for me, I’m open to critics. Actually, I love them… Some of them they go nowhere, but some of them teach me a lot! I’m an open minded, and I hate stereotypes and classification of people. We should all be equal, no because someone says it, because the differences are what makes us unique as individuals! Enjoy life and help others enjoy it. And if you can’t help them or they won’t let you help them, don’t worry! The regrets come for the ones that arrive at last to the ending life, remember champions are remarkable for being different!
Love, live and laugh. Life is not short, we make it short. Live long, dying young is for stupid ones.
