My Journey
I was looking for an Internship in my college final year and was very confused on where to go.
Then I heard about Freshdesk from my brother who is currently working there. I was very much amazed by his stories about the office and became very fond of working there. Then came the question “In which area will you be working ?” I am Film Maker and I was interested to work in creative videos. When I heard of Video Designing I was very curious on this very post, which was a perfect blend of Designing and Video making. This is the first step where I decided that I should work here. I believed that this would be the perfect place to learn and explore my domain. After doing an intense research about freshdesk in google just like every other enthusiastic engineering student, I only found positive reviews about freshdesk and its working culture. In the beginning, the level of excitement grew after every article that I read about freshdesk from various articles on the net. As the days passed I applied and followed up on one mail thread which found its way through the busy corporate mails and finally received a call to come and attend an interview. This was where my face lit up and I was jumping from the inside. Then came the running where you get your last minute flight tickets from Coimbatore to Chennai and end up on a flash sale with the best fares! This is where I thought Destiny was favouring my side. After landing in Chennai and coming through the rush hour and reaching the office Half n hour before the intended time, I was waiting in the lobby and observing the logo at the wall. Just one thing to say “IT’S FRESH AND MAKES ME SMILE”. Then my eyes drew to the people getting in at the office all calm and chill. This now made me very curious about a quote which I followed.

Impressions of the office
Green Green
It was Green everywhere and anywhere you see, you will either find a interesting posters or Thalaivar Rajnikanth. This was the moment when you realise that what you knew about freshdesk till now was all true and you just feel happy from the inside to just work here after being inside the office. Being a Rajini fan and working in the office where you have everything being Rajini and Green, This doesn’t get better than this. The people were really quiet I could only hear the keyboard tapping and people walking, this is where my fear of the interview kicked in. I was escorted by the HR to the interview room. I was waiting and observing through the glass wall on how the people are in the office, I could only see Happy and Fresh faces. This reduced my fear a little but something in me told to prepare for the unexpected. My Interview began and my Manager was a chill guy and I felt this was rather a casual talk rather a big fancy interview. We shared a lot about my work and what I do, I constantly tried my best to ask more about the company and how I could fit in here and give my best. When all was over I was very happy and tensed at the same time. Happy being I gave my best and tensed for the result. Then I moved to the cafeteria for Lunch.

Just two words here, JUST PERFECT! Never really had such good food at a workplace. A lot of variety and a lot of healthy food, this goes to say
I can like go on on about the food but hey let’s get to the more fun part of the working and the lifestyle at Freshdesk.
My interview results came and successfully got the Internship offer letter to join on December 5th 2016.

Induction process
Being a fresher at freshdesk, I was amazed by the whole induction process and how they make you feel like home at Day 1. I didn’t wanna leave the place but rather wanted to explore like every corner to find something interesting.
Photo sessions and amazing people made the day an Unforgettable one. With super friendly HRs and super friendly people what more could you ask for at a great working place like Freshdesk.
Then I went along to meet my Video Design Team, they were just amazing. Each one of them had a great story to tell and how they came to freshdesk and the type of work that they were doing was not work but passion. This was what made me feel like home and happy in the end of the day. When you zoom out you see enough resources to learn from, experts who are super friendly to teach you and enough time to learn and achieve your goal in life. Now I decided this is the place to be, now let’s work and learn as much as possible .

A new story everyday
It was a whole new experience for me and I could never compare this with any of my events in my life. It was new and exciting, everyday you meet someone new and everyday you have a different task at hand to which you find a solution and move on. Work was interesting which kept my interest and curiosity at high levels. Friends grew and work teams became a small family and workplace felt home.
Freshdesk felt like a second home to me where you stay happy and tend to develop yourself every single day. I loved the culture and lifestyle which was followed here, I was hesitant at first but later adapted to this lifestyle. My team mates or shall I call them my mentors, each one of them helped me grow and learn something new everyday. When you have super friendly people you don’t hesitate to ask anything at any moment. This was one of the things which I really liked here. Then when you have free time you don’t waste time rather work on something interesting things to keep you on your toes. Time really flew so fast that it felt like yesterday that I joined at Freshdesk.
On the whole it was a interesting journey at freshdesk and will remain an unforgettable memory in my life. I would like to thank each and everyone at the Design team who helped me throughout the Internship period and I would like thank all the people from day 1 who helped me reach here. A big smile for being just the way you are.
