Barn Frenzied-

I like onions and potatoes and pumpkins, the sort of things you can keep for ages in a dry place and won’t go bad, like garlic, it can hang from the kitchen ceiling for years, you can walk around it and pluck a tooth from it, it looks beautiful while it hangs there and it will rarely go bad, like dry rice, dry beans and dry pasta, sitting in sacks leaning on the walls, out of people’s way, where children can put their hands inside them and feel them run between their fingers, like dry chocolate bars, and stored dry herbs in large aromatic quantities, like unsalted peanuts, almonds and nuts, in big wooden barrels, like grain pepper and coffee, and rough salt, and a kettle with boiling water sitting on the fire, and jugs of milk and honey glimmering near the window, with some tea cups of beautiful colors, waiting for visitors.
