I guess any trustable information will have to have the following properties: authenticity of the source, being forge-proof, and have a consensus of trusted fact checkers. Those three properties are the base for a blockchain technology and can be adapted for any types if information. I would assume it will take pretty long time though. In a meanwhile trusting will be a personal choice based on personal believes and preferences.
