Fidelity level of what you’re transitioning within digital delivery is an optimization problem for sure. Time necessary to build vs. confidence you have into your solution is a very good perspective as you’ve already stated. I believe there is one more perspective we should also consider. Since it’s a transition you need to be careful about carrying all information needed to the next person, in order to avoid lost in transit from ux designers to developers.
