Positive Thinking May Have A Negative Impact On You

Here’s why I’m using negative visualization to help me achieve my goals

It’s time we realize that we’ve taken positive thinking too far. There are even books out there which claim that diseases can be cured through positive thinking.

In fact, negative thinking may be a better solution to help us achieve our goals in certain situations. Although it may seem counter-intuitive, it can even help us live healthier and happier lives.

There’s a whole world of self-help where there’s this idea that you can magically achieve your goals and all of your problems will disappear if you simply think positively.

While the idea isn’t bad in itself, there’s a risk that we might take everything too far. Used in moderation, positive thinking can be a great way to help us reduce our anxiety levels, as well as get rid of those thoughts that are bothering us.

Reality vs imagination

Our subconscious brain cannot tell the difference between what’s real and what’s imaginary. If we visualize positive outcomes, it can help us worry less — which in turn increases the joy for ourselves.
