I couldn’t agree more. The line between left and right here in the US is actually very fuzzy due to the two-party “lesser-of-two-evils” voting. A lot of people just switch side as the ruling party continue to fail on the promises they made, not so much because of ideology. People are desperate for change, and this time, as Obama and “liberals” failed them yet again, they saw Trump as their savior. In our two-party election, it would be insane to blame them for that. I would say it is completely normal. They “switched side” but that doesn’t mean that we don’t share the same goals.
I do, however, understand the argument that we don’t want to substitute one media lie with another. If the political and media elite get exposed for who they really are and stand for, it will leave a void that need to be filled, which will be a fight of ideas between left and right that could become very tough. However, if we keep on being divided, the establishment wins, if we unite against the establishment, we the people at least have a chance to win. And at this point I don’t think we have much to lose. The good news is that we have the truth on our side.
