The Park In The City. Powderhorn Park.

I love Powderhorn Park. I think it is greatly underrated. It is peaceful and the pond is beautiful. Where else do you get a view of the Minneapolis skyline like this? You can go to Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet, but homes values are at least twice as much. On days like today it is one of the best places in the city.

I think it gets a bad rap because of the neighborhood. Yes, crime is a little bit higher, and there isn’t a grocery store close by, but I think that is changing. The Seward Co Op is opening this Fall and that is going to make a huge impact in the area. I think the house selection you get in Powderhorn Park is unlike most other places in Minneapolis too. The victorian two stories there are extremely rare.

Don’t rule Powderhorn if you are looking for a place in south Minneapolis.
