The illusion of one purpose, passion, profession, and career
When you look at all the books talks and videos where you are told that you need to find your purpose, you might feel a loser if you haven’t found yours yet. Actually, I felt stupid and was searching for ages.
There are only a few people on this planet who have found their passion at a young age. Like the kid who wanted to be a doctor like his father, or a policeman, or the girl who knew she had to be an actress. When those folks become successful they tell everyone that you need to find your purpose.

I think there is a need for a different perspective.
First it is almost impossible to find your purpose if you live someone else’s life, i.e. are fitting in. In that situation you are used not to listen to your inner world and just obey the bosses. Second, having just one purpose, passion, profession and career is a reminiscent of the Industrial Age, where there was slow and linear change. The future was quite predictable. How different that is from the uncertainty of these times! Third, if you want to grow as a human being, it is for sure that your preferences and interests change over time. You might have been very interested in fashion, but now you are totally into baking organic bread. You might have been trained to be a MS-DOS specialist, but now the technology has become obsolete you decide to pursue your passion for helping refugees learn a new language.
There are two forces at work at the same time, your own growth as a human being and the rapid changes in our society. These changes require you to be flexible and agile. So, I would suggest that you stop seeking and start doing what feels good for you, now. You are good enough already! And if there is a need to pivot, just go ahead. It is your life and your duty to make the best of it. You are unique, so stop copying what others do.
