Worst case scenarios: Duterte vs. Roxas presidency

Two weeks before election and Duterte is leading the surveys. It is not wrong to think about a Duterte presidency. Facebook user Abel Quintos wrote a passionate comparison of worst case scenarios and why we are frustrated and even mad about the idea of a Duterte Presidency.
Some explanations are in order. Why are we frustrated and even mad about the idea of a Duterte Presidency?
Let’s discuss worst case scenarios.
Mar Roxas worst case scenario
The worst case scenario [of a Roxas presidency] is that we may continue to suffer crowded trains, inefficiency in disaster response, traffic Armageddon, etc. basically anything and everything that Duterte fanatics can think about I am willing to assume for purposes of argument. So if you have good imagination, now is the time to imagine the worst that the Aquino Admin has made you feel. Good? Okay.
Duterte worst case scenario
Now let’s reverse the situation and consider the worst case scenario of a Duterte Presidency:
1. Loss of Human rights, no due process, practically Martial Law, human dignity will be thrown out the window. He promised to kill people and then pardon himself, nuff said about accountability.
2. Some of the islands might probably be given or sold to China, or our good president will pull a heroic jetsky joyride to scarborough with the Davao Death Squad rallying behind his back.
3. We have to pay revolutionary tax to the NPA
4. We lose our trading partners because our president makes a joke out of the rape and murder an Australian Woman, makes fun of PWD, makes a joke of about indians, tells the US to shut the hell up. This means we lose our call centers and practically all the OFW in these countries will lose their jobs.
5. And of course, no more democratic institutions to protect the people because The Messiah will throw away the constitution in favor of a revolutionary government which he believes is the best way to achieve Federalism (although to some Du30 fanatics, they call this feudalism, but what else is new?)
If your politics is personal to you, the same is true to me, this is why We are frustrated about the Duterte Presidency, because the price of his Presidency is our Freedom, out economy, our welfare, while the price of a Roxas’ presidency is “inconvenience” we are currently suffering now.
I am most frustrated about the pride of rational Duterte Supporters who cannot admit that they made a mistake. We all know that your candidate is making a mockery of this election, it is probably time to admit that the emperor has no clothes.
