Thanks Jenn. I find Anand G’s personality too grating to listen to his entire talk. But I get your point that there is some overlap in our observations. He observes that the tech leaders tend to assume that they are doing such wonderful things that nobody could want to slow them down. If I can put in my own words what Anand is saying, it is that the tech folks want to be treated like adorable frisky little puppies. But they have grown to be too big and imposing for that. Other people, notably government officials, are going to raise genuine concerns, not just pat the tech folks on the head and say “good boy.”
