Sharing the tips with a working professional and exploring the life of purpose of my network

Goal 1:

Today I had one of the best times of my life after talking to Professional Rabia Rizwan who is working in Nishat for a long time. As this is my dream place to go. During talking to her I shared some useful tips which I read while reading blog in the morning:

  • Put your time in: Everyone starts out doing grunt work till trust is proven.
  • Don’t talk badly about the company or about your boss.
  • Take control of your relationship with your boss and team members.
  • Find a mentor and manage the relationship strategically.
  • Join a professional body and build your network.
  • Embrace change and reflect on what you are learning daily.

After hearing such tips she shared with me that she took a start from lower level and gradually grow with experience. Every small little task is important for your growth in any organization so never look at their importance. Do them keeping in view that it’s your learning phase and advised me that in professional setup Boss is always right so never have an argument with him. Either convince him or get convinced to make yourself and your team at ease. Furthermore, don’t forget Change is for good. Do accept it willingly and challenge yourself then nothing can stop you to grow.

Goal 2:

For last few of the times, whenever I met someone I used to ask the below questions:

1. What is your life of purpose?

2. What is the pain (sacrifice) that you are willing to sustain to reach your goals?

3. What are you passionate (or burdened) by?

I got very few replies as most of them even don’t know for what purpose they are living their life and this surprises me a lot. When I asked my professional the same questions, she shared that living a life with purpose will help you to lead a better and successful life. She then explained me when she started her career she just have one aim to make a place for herself in this organization and get the recognition. In start, everyone used to say her this is not the place where females can work. How they can handle labour and production personnel and production staff was also very conservative. Even educated people find it hard to work with female and specially when they are under her command. They used to misbehave and this was a hell of pressure she went through in her initial years of professional life. There went through lot of criticism that females have to marry and then they have to leave. But I only know one thing when I left my home for this job I made a statement I will make my mother proud as all my family members were not that supportive and they think I will quit it as I cannot handle this pressure. So I just have this goal that I have to prove them wrong and have to make my place and see where I stand today.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
