[CW] Thank you for your thoughtful response. To add stats to this conversation, since you bring it up:

An estimated 44% of lesbian women and 61% of bisexual women have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime (compared to 35% of heterosexual women)

An estimated 26% of gay men and 37% of bisexual men have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner (compared to 29% of heterosexual men)

Also, transgender people are at a much higher risk for sexual and dating violence with an estimated 64% experiencing sexual assault. Transgender women actually make up 72% of victims of hate-motivated murders. (Some studies have also found as much as 80% of trans women of color are sexually assaulted.)
