Your perpetrator’s actions are their fault and theirs alone — you’re not responsible for “stopping” them (and let’s be real, reporting doesn’t do anything in the vast majority of cases). You’re the one who was assaulted; you deserve safety and justice, whatever that means to you. Don’t let anyone convince you that you have some obligation to stop what you can’t stop.
