I loved how capable Rey was portrayed as being. Was also giddy that she didn’t need saving early on in the film; she can fend for herself. Just the kind of badass woman role model I would have loved to have when I was a kid. I had Mulan, but it would have been nice to have more. Of course, the haters are coming out in droves to criticize Rey for being a “Mary Sue” (http://io9.gizmodo.com/please-stop-spreading-this-nonsense-that-rey-from-star-1749134275), but that’s just a pile of double standard crap.
