My Summer at Goaloop
Operations + Software Development Intern
I spent Summer 2016 as part of the Goaloop team, a start-up in NYC that is “a one-stop solution for goal achievement, uniting funding, collaborators, social media and tools around your goal.”
Working closely with the CEO and gaining insight into incorporating the visual identity of Goaloop into the platform’s features.
Managing a team of five interns and ensuring tasks were completed per schedule.
Presenting a personal project, a mobile app prototype, which reimagined the web app’s UI and redesigned it for the mobile experience. The tools I used were Sketch and InVision (self-taught, acquired demonstrable proficiency).
Learning valuable info about user-centered design principles, through independent research.
Developing + maintaining wireframes of screens, storyboards, and a cohesive style guide and ensuring a consistent design language was applied across the prototype.
QA testing the pre-launch site and creating unit-testing scripts on Testpad
Setting up and managing team communication channels on Slack
Creating templates for weekly user email blasts
Creating content for social media accounts
Participating in marketing meetings and developing user-acquisition strategies
