Deepak, this is a brilliant and beautiful letter. Thank you for sharing this. I hope it is well, and carefully received. Not that it is in my part in any measure to comment, but I suppose us in the humanities struggle with some of the codifications that come to intellectual traditions in their formalisations into disciplines. Maybe a name such as Anthropology is one such marker.

On another note I take much pleasure in reading all of your writings (or at least those I have perchanced so far. I look forward eagerly to your thesis, which if bearing half the care that this letter exhibits is sure to be delightful. Wishing you the very best,
