I agree with all the points in your article except for this one.

In my personal experience less than half of the devs I meet have an entrepreneurial spark. A lot of my colleagues are much more “technology oriented” than “opportunity oriented”. They strive to explore and dive deep into new tech, but not the tech utilization. They are like researchers that can’t get enough of new and fancy technology.

I think that is another point you could consider when you are trying to “steal” the devs. Offer them a chance to implement a new technology they love into your startup. Offer them a few hours a week to spend on research. I know this approach goes a long way in a company I work for and I’m sure it would entice some of the devs to switch to your startup.
