“words, words, words”

a poem of definitions.

apricity: the warmth of the sun in winter,
and the alpenglow: rosy glow that suffuses snow-covered mountain peaks.
sonder: the realization that every person is living their own vivid life, pops into your mind
the background, psithurism: the sound of rustling leaves,
trouvaille: something lovely found by chance
like moonglade: the track of moonlight on water.

to asseverate: declare earnestly of esperance: hope
though numinous: fearful and awed by one’s surroundings,
we accept acatalepsy: the idea that it is impossible to truly comprehend anything,
and embrace eunoia: a beautiful mind and thinking

and we wait for winter’s end
for estivation: spending and passing the summer
