As a former Marine, I respect your perspective. And I don’t hold Trump responsible for the Yemen mission, precisely because as President, he’s not responsible for the many variables involved in executing a mission. There’s no perfect plan. What, are we to merely retreat from the world? Or do we continue to engage with it, and strive to do our best to protect our interests? Even if that means there are losses and mistakes? Even if that means our President and his Administration don’t get everything right?
After all, Yemen is a dangerous place where the unexpected happens.
