Dubai is increasingly becoming the next hot hub for new start ups and covering stories of start ups, their hurdles, their successes and founders story here in the region is passionating. As I was trying to reach out to different CEO’s and Co-Founders of local start ups here in Dubai there is one auto-reply message that literally killed me.

A morning notification popped up on the save screen of my iPhone. It was my gmail account pinging a very unique reply that grabbed my full attention.

Rami Shaar, Founder of Washmen, a local app based laundry service set this auto reply message for his honey moon. It’s hilarious how one reply literally made my day:

AUTO: Vaca Baby!

Hello,

I’m on a mission to get married over the next few days which will then be followed by a honeymoon in a remote location where there is no internet. That doesn’t mean that you can’t reach me. Here’s exactly how to reach me until I’m back on August 12th

By Air Mail:

Locate the white pigeon with the three black spots on its right wing. Write your message on a piece of paper, roll it up and tie it to its right paw. Make sure the pigeon flies to these coordinates -8.409518, 115.188919

By Sea:

Please write your message on a piece of paper, roll it up and put it in a glass bottle. Close it firmly with a cork lid and throw it into the ocean (East of the Straits of Hormuz).

Note: make sure your throw is aimed at coordinates -8.409518, 115.188919, this will ensure that the bottle washes up by my sandy toes on the island.

By Satelite:

For URGENT matters, feel free to reach out to my mother-in-law. Her senses are equipped with laser precise geo-targeting allowing her to be fully aware of our coordinates.

Looking forward to connecting ;)

Best,

Rami”

The start-up scene here in Dubai is boiling and creativity is booming. Some years ago replies you would hardly find anyone communicating originally and now it’s time for start ups to run the show in this region.
