Really? The conservative talk and TV dominates the airwaves way more than anything you call “liberal media.”

I wish I could remember who it was that published a piece here on Medium, showing that many high ranking governmental officials being married to top editors and producers of MSM. in particular the Democratic elites. Of course there’s likely to be a variety of such in conservative circles as well. The point is that Washington is so insular and the media is so immeshed.

One of my personal future reading assignments (yes I assign myself projects) is a book entitled “What Washington gets Wrong”, by Jennifer Bachner and Benjamin Ginsberg.

Here is an excerpt from one of the reviews:

What Washington Gets Wrong” shows, by polling statistics, what we all know already. Namely, that those who run the government, from Capitol City — sorry, from Washington — not only think differently from Americans as whole, but also have different policy priorities and have deep contempt for most Americans. This isn’t a surprise, because this is the nature of every bureaucratic ruling class throughout history, though ours is both less monetarily corrupt than usual, and more ideologically corrupt than usual.

I believe this is particularly true of highly educated (particularly Ivy League) wonks and academics, most of whom are the writers of Op-Ed pieces and are the talking heads one sees daily; especially on Sunday mornings.
