A year of learning in the ‘real world’

My time as a placement student with the Webteam has come to an end at The Health Informatics Service but it’s not the end of my journey with them as I will be continuing my work with them while finishing my University degree with the added bonus of working with the Trust (Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust) with any digital communication needs.

One of the biggest achievements in the role was setting up and managing the company blog which is designed to provide an insight into the various teams and staff members working at THIS. It is also a platform for members of staff to share what they are working on and share their knowledge.

Currently we have four active publications (publications are the different teams/departments at THIS), a total of 44 of blog posts and an average of 154 views per month (30 day period).

I couldn’t just set this up and not contribute to it, and in fact I have written quite a few posts which has helped in getting the blog up and running and showing others what can be achieved. Below are my five favourite posts I have written this year for THIS.

Keep up to date with mine and other members of staff posts by following THIS.
