The art of gingerbread painting for many years has undergone significant changes. Today the work of many masters is characterized by multicolour patterns. It is enriched with new colours and shades of colours; new more complex elements of ornaments have appeared. With all variety of subjects and patterns modern “kozuly” in their best samples retain traditional style of ancient gingerbreads: static character, harmony of form and colour.
