Nuno Moreira, pays close attention to composition, lighting, perspective and the context of his shots.

Compared to colour photo, where catchy tints help the image to stand out, in B/W photography the ability to stand out depends only on its ability to communicate with the spectator, rather than on its appealing visual presentation.

Nuno Moreira, a talented young photographer from Portugal pays a rather close attention to composition, lighting, perspective and the context of his shots. He started working as independent art director and photographer through his own studio NM DESIGN founded in 2007 and which specializes in Photography and Book/CD Design.

One of Nuno’s projects “State of Mind”, is a photo narrative about the relation of human beings with the passage of time. Soon he is going to publish the book by the same name where the audience will be able to see his amazing photography and also read more about the concept behind it.

Through his work he uses different materials allowing to get room for experimentation and combining both analogue and digital methods, enhancing this way the creative process and bringing something new to each project. His works are black and white, but most of them are extremely sharp and clear, it is evident that the artist likes to play with light and shadow while paying attention to small and tiny details. Nuno is a traveler, attracted by architecture, cityscapes, nature, music, painting. His photos are captured in different countries such as Russia, Portugal, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Spain, etc. His work gives focus to detail and texture, bringing a particular atmosphere and mood to each specific project.
