Little Miss and Mr. Men — Visual Arts Edition
If you’ve known any of the Little Miss Mr. Men characters by Roger Hargreaves, you’ll know how these characters not only defined trait-centric stories but also became a promotional tool for cities and facilities like the public transport. One of the characters was birthed inspired by designer Stella McCartney (The Beatles connect, yes) and it’s incredible how the characters have been touching a chord with audiences of varied kinds for over half a century.
On a different note, everyone at Art Synergy engages with art to express and develop an overall leader-like personality that involves traits like caring for the people and the environment. Taking to arts for us is to create wholeheartedly and as per our personal expectations. With this ideology, we bring to you a new cast of Little Miss and Mr. Men characters who are as frisky as they are quirky and as snarky, yet overly optimistic & enthusiastic creators.
Meet them.
OBSERVANT | PLAYFUL | ECLECTIC
She sniffs amazing prints from out of nowhere. She lives in Printing-ton. She goes observe-shopping peejays and t-shirts to photograph new prints.
PASSIONATE | SENSITIVE | PARADOXICAL
She makes understandable abstract art but cannot stand spilled paint. She is completely consumed when she’s experimenting and sometimes cleans the painted birds in her painting mistaking them for splashes and unwanted dots.
RESOURCEFUL | NATURE-LOVING | INVENTIVE
She draws inspiration from a range of things from bees to spaceships to make earrings. She is an original thinker with a great sense of design. If you don’t find your eraser, the lid to your Pringles box or the plug of a fused string of fairy lights, they have probably been converted into limited edition earrings.
CURIOUS | TRINKET MAGNATE | CONTEMPLATIVE
She is a dreamer who dreams of having a room full of painted earthen cups. She has more Pinterest saves than the number of days she’s lived on this sweet earth. She loves everything quaint. Her favorite word and smell is petrichor.
SPONTANEOUS | SHY | GRITTY
She is too timid to ask for people to draw their cartoons. She draws faces anywhere she sees them — on the bus, in a market, in a park and even her brother’s school function. She sneaks her drawings in, when she’s done.
MESSY | INQUISITIVE | UNABASHED
She enjoys playing with sticky things. She and her friend put Fevicol on her hands for fun. She collects thick viscous gums dripping from tree trunks.
THOUGHTFUL | INGENIOUS | IMAGINATIVE
She loves drawing on paper with frayed edges. Manuscripts are one of her biggest influence. She needs to see every bill to know how much of its paper can be used for doodling and drawing.
MYSTERIOUS | PERSPICACIOUS |AMIABLE
He is the brand ambassador or snail mail. He is never turbo charged except when he has to paint. Everybody in his town has traded fast for less than perfect but he is adamant on doing it his way.
AESTHETE | FREETHINKER | DISCIPLINED
She identifies and distinguishes 2-D shapes everywhere. She creates tangram objects with food, sometimes her sandwiches. She can whip up extraordinary tangram designs from her imagination with the inspiration of things she observes everyday.
CONSISTENT | QUIRKY | REBELLIOUS
She is unshakable in her resolve to buy only what’s needed. She understands the pleasure of opening surprise gifts. She wraps them with large peels of sticker paper or packing paper of the things delivered and spruces them up with flowers, leaves and old paper cutouts.
