The Multiverse AI is an AI headshot generator that takes your selfies, analyzes them, and returns a bunch of high-quality professional headshots.
This is my top recommendation from this list.

My Experience
I will now show you how the Multiverse AI performs. If you feel like it, you can follow these steps or just read along and see the results.
Spoiler: this is hands down the best tool that I tested. The images are definitely something I could use in my LinkedIn profile or such.
Anyway, let me show you how to use it.
To start generating professional AI headshots, head over to this page and click “Get your photos”.
Once you’ve completed this step, you will see a view that prompts you to add images of yourself.
Please understand these instructions. Don’t take a series of selfies!
Then it’s time to upload the images.
I will use the same images in every tool on this list to compare the results. Here are the images of myself:
As you can see, those are relatively close-up headshots or selfies.
The Multiverse AI has an editor you can use to crop the images. Go through every image and crop it as per the rules.
One issue I had, though, was that the tool complained about almost every image I dropped into it. That’s because the images were too small.
If you get a similar error, just use this image upscaler to make your images bigger. You can drag and drop your image there, and download the bigger version.
After you’ve done this, you can drop an image into the Multiverse AI editor again.
Do this with every image until you have 12 images in! If you don’t have this many images, just take some in different scenes with your mobile device. Don’t upload a series of selfies!
Once you’ve uploaded your images, enter your email to get notified when the images are ready (and specify your gender.)
Then it’s time to hit “Upload” and wait.
In my case, the AI took about 60 minutes to create the images. You can close the window because this all happens on the internet. You can even close your computer after this step.

I mean c’mon. What a handsome guy I am! These look 100% real to me. Perhaps the right-most image isn’t that accurate but the two on the left… I’m speechless!

The resolution is not the best nor is the lighting. But still, the AI was able to perfectly capture my facial features and place me in those professional images.

2. Prophotos AI
Prophotos AI is another awesome AI headshot generator.
It requires a bunch of images of yourself to train the AI. Then after about 30–45 minutes, it gives you back realistic, professional, and high-quality images.

Remember that the AI is not a magician. It doesn’t generate quality images unless you provide it with good images of yourself.
Although you don’t need professional images as the input (that’s the whole point here) you still need to make sure those images are clear and that your face is visible.
This tool was a lot more lenient with my input images than The Multiverse AI. It didn’t complain about any of my input images. Also, this one only required 5–8 images.
Here are my input images that I chose from my mobile device’s library:
After choosing the images, select your gender and eye color to assist the AI.
And then just hit “Start.” Couldn’t be easier than that!
It took about 30 minutes for the AI to generate my images. However, some customers have reported up to 45 minutes of waiting time.
Remember that this process takes place on the internet. You don’t have to sit and wait for the images to appear. It’s ok to close the window or your computer because nothing happens locally on your machine.
After waiting for about 45 minutes, the AI images are ready. You’ll get an email like this to notify you:

To me, these look a bit more versatile than with The Multiverse AI.
But at the same time, the image quality isn’t that great. Also, I think this tool didn’t capture my facial features as well as The Multiverse AI.
That being said, it’s still very close!
When I scrolled down further, I found more awesome AI headshots of myself:
Oh, and one thing that I love about Prophotos is that it allows you to rework an image.
For example, I like the brown jacket image of myself the most. Thus, I will use AI to generate a bunch of those:

That’s something I couldn’t tell if it was me or not. It looks exactly like me (except for I don’t wear fancy clothes.)
Epic, to say the least!
But feel free to decide. I used the same input images of myself with all these tools so it’s easy to compare the results. I place this tool as the #2 on the list based on my opinion!

DreamWave AI is another great AI headshot generator. This tool offers:

I tested the team version (although I just generated images of myself with it.)
Let me show you my experience with this one.
My Experience
To start using DreamWave, head over to their homepage and click “Get headshots for yourself.” Or if you want to, you can use the team option to get pictures for your team.
If you use the individual option, then just drag and drop your images to the view.
But as I mentioned, I tried the team version.
To use this version, just enter your team details.
Also, to get uniform results, you need to choose the headshot style you want your team to have.
Then hit “Create team photoshoot:”
Once you sign up as a team, you can send a link to your teammates to use the service.
Then it’s time to choose the images. Now I’m acting as a team member who just received a link to the service.
Once again, you need to be careful not to choose too similar images or images that don’t show your face clearly. I’ll use the same images I’ve used throughout thispost.
Then just choose your gender and optionally your primary ethnic background:
Then hit “Save and Generate Photoshoot.”
This process will take a while.
The reason these AI tools take some time is because there’s a lot of traffic. On top of that, the AI model must train itself with your images to produce accurate results.
For me, it took about 2 hours before I received an email that the AI photoshoot was complete:

Oh, and one thing I loved about this was that you could create an AI-or-not quiz to share with your mates. That’s pretty cool. It’s hard to tell from these images whether it’s me or not.
Once again, I’m impressed with the images.
But this time, the facial features look robotic. Also, there’s not much variability as in most images I’m just staring at the camera.
But of course, because it’s me, I can pick up on these subtle details. In your eyes, these images probably look exactly like I do, right? I’m sure if I saw your images I wouldn’t be able to tell who’s you and who’s AI.
So once again, this was a very nice experience and the results are cool. Also, I liked the seamless team features you can use to generate similar photos for all your team members.

Next, it’s time to introduce HeadshotsByAI. This is another promising AI headshot generator tool that takes your camera roll images and turns them into professional photos.
Let’s see how it performs!
My Experience
To start using the product, just head over to the HeadshotsByAI homepage and sign up.
Once you’ve signed up, you will see a view like this:
For example, you can choose the “Personal Branding” option to start generating images of yourself.
Then choose your individual gallery from the dashboard:
Then enter some details about yourself, such as your gender, eye color, and such.
Then choose your images. I will once again use the same ones I’ve used throughout this post.
And then hit “Start training”. This will send your images to the “AI photographer” to train on.
It will take a while for the AI to generate the headshots. I think it was once again something like 45–60 minutes.
Similar to the other tools on the list, this one also lets you know once the images are ready with an email:
Just click the link in the email to view your images.
Here are the results:
These look very great—if you look at them from a distance.
But if you look at it within arm’s length, you will notice that these images look very robotic. I asked my friends and they told me these have a game 3D character vibe.
Sad to admit, but I think you can instantly tell these are AI images and not real ones. Even though this tool was easy to use and fast, the results aren’t up to par with the other tools I tested.
One thing I like about it is that these images are versatile. You have office images, studio images, and even images outside. Some of the images that aren’t close headshots look really nice!
Even though I have to place this tool at the bottom of the list, there’s a lot of good in it. The versatility and creativity of the AI are visible, and those longer-distance images look epic to me!

- Also, some of the images look nice and realistic.
- The tool is easy to use. It accepts images a lot easier than other tools.

- Robotic images. The close headshots aren’t clearly even close to the level of the other tools on the list.

My Take on AI Headshot Generators
AI headshot generation is surprisingly good. This was not a thing just a year or two ago and now these tools are already nailing it!
The only thing I don’t like about these products is that they cost quite a bit.
Usually, the price is around $20-$50 for professional headshots. While that’s about 95% cheaper than hiring a professional, the problem is that you have no guarantee that the images will be good.
For instance, if you look at some of the results I got with the tools on this list, you can tell that those look 3Dish or fake in many ways. So be careful.
For the best results, I recommend using the top tools on this list. Also, use as good and as many images of yourself as possible.
Also, ensure you don’t wear a cap or a headset in your images. I did and you can see from some headshots that the AI thinks the headset is a body part… That looks silly.
