Wondershare Virbo is an AI video generator app that turns words into video presentations.

To put it short, Virbo is good, but you’ll find a lot better options here.

Anyways, I’ve extensively tested Virbo so that you don’t have to. In this post, you will find many examples (including videos) of how it works.

Key Features

First, let’s take a quick look at the main features of Virbo.

  • AI actors. This software has a lot of AI actors for all use cases and from all countries.
  • Templates. There are lots of templates to choose from. You can use pitch decks, holiday scenes, home offices, Christmas scenes, or whatever you can imagine.
  • Translator tool. This product takes an input video of a talking head and makes it speak in a different language.
  • Text to speech. The tool uses AI to convert text to spoken language. It also lip-syncs the audio with an AI actor.

My Experience

I’ve spent a while testing Virbo so you don’t have to. Feel free to read along.

(If you want to repeat what I show you below, sign up here.)

Virbo’s AI Translator

Here’s an AI-translated video I generated with Virbo AI:

  • The first part is the real me.
  • Then the second part is the AI version of me.

The translated version looks real, but it also looks a bit robotic. Other than that, everything is fine in that translated video.

(The audio was also a bit low so I had to boost it for the video. But that’s not an issue.)

To create a translation like this, click here. If you’ve signed up, this shows you a page like this:

Then just drag and drop a video into the view and choose the original and translated languages:

Then just wait.

For me, it took about 5 minutes to create a translated version of my 10-second clip.

Once the video has been processed, you can access it in your files section.

But now, let’s move on to the core features of Virbo.

Create Presentation

The main feature of Virbo (at least in my eyes) is its ability to create versatile video presentations.

The tool has lots of AI voice actors, backgrounds, stickers, and whatever you might need on a video.

You can choose a Male actor, Female actor, News presenter, Educator, and much more.

Then you can also choose different backgrounds for your videos.

And of course, you have a huge template library at your disposal. With these templates, you can create pitches, presentations, sales pitches, and whatnot.

You can also search for a specific template from the library:

Lastly, you don’t have to stick with the traditional landscape format.

You can also go with a portrait mode in your videos. This is useful if you publish them on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube shorts.

Once you’ve chosen your actor, background, and format, copy-paste your script into the text area:

Then choose the voice.

I’m going with Andrew:

Feel free to edit the scene as much as you like.

The user interface is intuitive.

Just click or drag the elements around. Change fonts, colors, or rotations with simple controls.

Once your scene looks good, preview your video.

Notice, though, that the preview doesn’t show the presenter talking!

It’s just there to show you what the scene looks what the voice sounds like.

(Rendering the final version of the video involves AI. It’s an expensive and computationally heavy operation. Thus, you won’t be able to do it in the preview.)

The preview doesn’t show the presentor’s mouth moving.

But worry not! Your presenter will talk and move in the rendered version of your video. Just click “Export” to do that.

Here’s the video I made:

Isn’t it cool?

Although it feels a bit unnatural, the steps we’ve taken with this AI thing are pretty huge. 5–10 years ago, this type of AI actor simply didn’t exist.

Customizing AI Videos with Virbo

Remember that you have all kinds of backgrounds and templates at your disposal!

For example, for your Christmas campaign, you can choose a Christmas theme:

Or you can use a minimalistic gradient:

By clicking the actor, you can make it bigger or smaller. You can also drag it around to find a good spot.

Then, you can also change the music. There’s also a big music library in Virbo that you can use.

And then you also have stickers. These can be good for sales pitches.

Lastly, you can use storyboard templates for your sales pitches too. Just click “Template” on the left-hand side editor in Virbo to show the templates.

Virbo automatically saves your creations. To access those, head over to the My Creations section on the left-hand side.

Last but not least, there are great tutorials you can check to make the most out of Virbo:

Pros

  • Realistic AI actors that move pretty naturally and speak fluently
  • There are so many templates to choose from. It goes all the way from backgrounds to stickers to music. Everything is covered here!
  • Virbo creates AI videos relatively fast. For example, the translation feature didn’t take more than a couple of minutes. In other tools that type of action could take way longer.

Cons

  • No live preview is available. This means you have to “pay” for the video before seeing it.
  • Somewhat robotic actors—which is an issue with all these AI video tools still.
  • The translation feature makes talking look quite unnatural and robotic still. But I can’t judge it—it’s a beta version.

Bottomline

Virbo is good for creating presentations. The translation feature is still not perfect, but it’s worthwhile trying too!

The tool has all sorts of actors, templates, music, images, and all you need for decent-quality presentations.

If you don’t want to pay for an actor or record yourself, this tool is a great option. But just notice that these results aren’t outstanding.

You get far superior results by presenting it yourself and by mixing in some personality.
