The brain inside our head is awesome. It is the most advanced natural processing system and its capabilities are amazing. What if we can use the same techniques of our brain to learn, adapt and apply knowledge in a machine? Yes, this topic has been discussed for decades now. A lot of research, study and effort has already been put into this. And today we are ever so closer to making it happen.

Many advanced studies related to AI is done on the basis of human brain. If we look into the history of internet, we will recognise the contributions form ARPA (Advanced Research Projects Agency) (now called DARPA) and there early implementation of internet called ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network). In the same way IARPA (Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity) launched a 100 Million Dollar Project to reverse engineer the brain and allow machines to think more like humans. The Machine Intelligence from Cortical Networks program (MICrONS) aims to reproduce the actual computations happening in brain. (Most of the times they will use rat brains since most humans are not willing to donate there brain for research.) One of the goal of MICrONS is to enhance current Neural Networks, from just using engineering…
