Who is a star? Who can be a star? Are everyone stars?
Star is something(one) which you look up, is distant yet close, shines bright and even falls down at times and eventually rises up again.
To me, Yuvan is one, which lights up people’s lives like how the moon does to people who are lost in the dark, searching for things that they can’t see.

Elan has this trick of somehow getting what we all expect from Yuvan. Elan being a fan himself like all of us could also be a reason, I believe. Pradeep did try, but it was too mainstream, I think.
Writing this listening to the Star trailer’s background score on repeat and I’ve lost track of how many times I listened. All it needed was one background score. ONE BACKGROUND SCORE to make people talk about him again and all I needed was that too, took me away from my writing slump. I did not know what to write, how to use the words for a period of time.I’m still elated and already excited to see this film. I am all excited typing out random passages on how it affected me.
Guess, that’s what art is for. To make people emote,feel relatable, to feel a tinge of emotion surpassing ourselves in this depressive, real world where things are mostly awful. Anyways,
Yes, the songs might have been not the 2003–19 Yuvan’s, probably it’s an upgraded version of him, trying to meet the “demands” of what social media , the hook step reel culture has created. I am repeatedly listening to this track and it gives me memories of “Walking through the Rainbow” from 7G Rainbow Colony. I believe that, music and musicians should not be compared, although I cannot stop myself from making this comparison. Especially the part from 1.43- to the end of the trailer sounds exactly like that, but also not like that.
I really can’t put this emotion into words,there are always some emotions which most of us cannot put down as words, this might be one.
Adding about Kavin, he seems very apt for a Bildungsromanic / a coming of age story, mainly because he resembles us and has a story which most of us would relate to and he has definitely done a good part and I’m sure he won’t disappoint. After a long time, a trailer has impacted me to a large extent, this could just be the 3rd or 4th time ever. Thank you Elan.
There could be tracks for example a song like Naa Ready from Leo, it has a separate impact that creates daily when you listen and tracks like Pona Pogattum from Master and this track has separate impacts. Songs like this cannot be listened to on a daily basis,rather it’s like that comfort food you go to when you are sick/ tired of eating the same shit every day. This track has infected my mind and now I know where a particular sound comes from and I’m humming now, guess I’m in that stage of listening now.
Deconstructing the track currently and couldn't help but break it down, trying to figure out how still Yuvan has that special something, that sparkling gold dust. I am still pondering where that magic had been hiding all this time. It was like unravelling a mystery, exploring each beat, each miniscule of a second of that 1 minute 42 seconds.
It’s 12 am, headphones on,eyes closed off listening to this track on repeat, a solitary tear slowly escapes away.

I hope he does not stop using this sword that the greatness above us has gifted Yuvan,EVER.
