My ceaseless optimism has got to be starting to irk loads of you by now. It’s okay. That’s life. Let’s move on. And move back to my perpetual positivity.

Life is not a bed of roses. I am living breathing proof of that. One day I was a happy-go-lucky college student without a care in the world (ok, maybe a few). And the next I was bedridden with acute joint pains and rashes all over my body running a high fever every few hours. That’s life. If this scares you, then in a way it’s good. It’s preparing you for the absolute worst. Which nobody did to me. I still faced it and braved it. And thankfully, it’s over. Bottomline being, it’s over.

It always gets over.

No matter how hard it gets. It’ll eventually get better. This is not overused crap about positivity and life. This is real. Because there is nothing more real than hope. Hope is like a powerful force. And the minute you give it the power it deserves, miracles happen. Miracles are beautiful and miracles are real. To a cynic, or even a realist, this probably sounds scatterbrained, childish and specious. They may be right in their respect. But hear me out.

Things do happen, right? It’s impossible that nothing good has ever happened to someone. Good things (and bad things) happen to all people all the time. So how do they happen? They happen because we make them happen. We think them, we do things that contribute to them happening and they happen. Then why can’t we make hope happen? Why can’t we make happiness happen? The answer is that we can. Sometimes, we just choose not to.

Hope is always out there, hanging, waiting for you to grab onto it. Every situation you’re in, hope will get you through. You can apply it to every life situation and my words will hold true. It could be a job interview, a failing relationship, a mental health issue, a project you have to complete/work on, a friendship you want to cultivate further, it could even be a life threatening situation, hope is always there to assist you, guide you and support you.

The pertinent element here is trust. You have to trust yourself and that is how hope will manifest itself successfully in your life. Because if you don’t actually believe in yourself, then hope cannot do shit. It can just sit idle and hope you realize the truth.

Have hope. Believe in hope. And don’t ever give up because hope is like an invisible friend waiting to be called upon and the sooner you do it, the better.
